The Sweetheart's Knitting Club

(IMPORTANT NOTE: This book comes out November 24, 2009. Sorry for any inconvenience.!)

To an outsider, the little Texas town of Twilight seems to be a peaceful community. Little would they know that passion and turmoil, romance and deceit quietly burn beneath the town’s quaint outer appearance.

In Lori Wilde’s new book, “The Sweetheart’s Knitting Club”, there is a whole lot more than knitting going on . Combining an immense cast of intriguing characters with a complicated and intense storyline, Wilde delivers a hot blooded tale that practically sets the pages on fire.

Jesse Calloway has just been released from an undeserved ten years in prison, and has his heart and mind set on returning to Twilight. When he arrives, he finds life has changed in the sleepy little town. The girl he loves, Flynn McGregor, is engaged to the town sheriff – the very man who saw to it that Jesse was sent to prison on false charges. The same man who now seems intent on making Jesse’s life a living hell.

Flynn McGregor has always remembered her one night with Jesse Calloway. But family obligations and a reputation to uphold prevents her from dwelling on the “bad boy.” So when Jesse shows up in town, Flynn is surprised to finds her heart still beats a little faster for him, and discovers that maybe she was wrong to believe all the bad things she had been told about the man who still holds her heart.

Flynn struggles to make the right decision on which man she should be faithful to, but with a little help from her friends in “The Sweetheart’s Knitting Club,” she allows her passion and common sense lead her to love.

Weatherford, Texas resident Lori Wilde is the author of over 45 books, and has won numerous awards and accolades for her writing from the romance community. Her work on “The Sweetheart’s Knitting Club” is a fine example of her ability to draw her readers into the story and to deliver a satisfying ending that keeps them coming back for more.

“The Sweetheart’s Knitting Club” is the first book in the series featuring residents of Twilight, Texas, one that promises to be a huge hit with the readers.

Sounds like it has a bit of a Debbie MacComber feel to it. Kind of a gentle fun. light read.

I wouldn't say Debbie Macomber. It's a little darker, grittier than that.
