The Sunday Salon - my First!

This is my first "The Sunday Salon" posting and it's kinda thrilling!

Every Sunday the bloggers from all over the world participating in that week's Salon get together--at their separate desks, in their own particular time zones--and read. And blog about their reading. And comment on one another's blogs.

Think of it as an informal, weekly, mini read-a-thon, an excuse to put aside one's earthly responsibilities and fall into a good book. You can click here for how to join the Salon.

So, with no further ado…..

What I'm Reading Now:

Seduced By His Touch by Tracy Ann Warren

Once In A Blue Moon by Eileen Goudge (for an advanced review.)

What I Finished Reading This Week:

I finished up last night Elizabeth Spann Craig's delightful cozy mystery "Pretty Is as Pretty Dies." I have never had so much fun reading a book - this one is just wonderful. Watch for my review of it, and an author interview with Elizabeth later this week!

I also read Ruby Gettinger's new book, "Ruby's Diary: Reflections On All I've Lost and Gained." If you don't know Ruby from her show on the Style Network, she is a Georgia gal who is documenting her weight loss journal in a reality-type show. She has lost over 250 so far and is just a sweetheart of a gal, so funny!

I also read this week -

"Water, Stone, Heart" by Will North
"Treasure of the Golden Cheetah" by Suzanne Arruda
"Benny and Shrimp" by Katarina Mazetti
"Labor Day" by Joyce Maynard

Starting to get Halloween and Christmas themed books in - that's always fun. I have a pile to finish up that are "summery" reads. I can't believe August is almost gone, but I'm looking forward to fall and winter!

Have a Wonderful Sunday, ya'll!

I haven't heard of Ruby's Diary, or the show, but I really like watching The Biggest Loser, so maybe it would be something that I would like.
