Book Blogger Appreciation Week - Reading Habits!

Today, for Book Blogger Appreciation Week, bloggers were asked to answer a few questions about their reading habits! So here goes -

Do you snack while you read? Yep! Doesn't everyone??

If so, favorite reading snack? Right now, my snack of preference is Skittles, but pretty much anything edible will do!

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?

I have to admit - I dog-ear. I don't write in books, but I do use post-its, if there is something I want to go back to.

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?Laying the book flat open? I love love love bookmarks!!! I collect them!

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both kind!

Hard copy or audiobooks? Hard copy!

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? Read to the end of the book, if I can. But yeah, chapters are a good place to stop.

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Nope - I just ask the hubby!

What are you currently reading? Pikes Point

What is the last book you bought? Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol - terrific!!!

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? One at a time, usually

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read? I read at night, into the early morning hours. Insomniac!

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? I like series, but I like to start with the first one and work my way through. It frustrates me to get a book in to review and find out it's third in a series.

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Debbie Macomber is a favorite, Eileen Goudge, Laura Childs, Adriana Trigiani...I like my gal authors!

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Organize - what is this word you speak of???
