It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!! 3 Months Til Christmas!

Today, September 25th, is three months until Christmas Day! Let the Panic begin!!

I thought it would be fun for the next three months, to take a look at some of the charming Christmas books that always pop up this time of year! So, on the 25th of each month until Christmas, I’ll post reviews of a Christmas-y nature!

I even fixed a snazzy little button if you want to grab it for your blog, to remember to come back and visit me on the 25th of each month. And what would Christmas be without a Countdown Clock to raise our blood pressures just a little. (grin!)

The Christmas Clock
By Kat Martin
Vanguard Press; $14.95

One of the sweetest books I’ve read so far is Kat Martin’s “The Christmas Clock.” Heartwarming and endearing, this small novel will put a glow in your heart just in time for the holiday season.

Teddy was eight years old the Christmas that his whole world turned upside-down. He lived with his grandmother Lottie, who adored him, but who was experiencing the onset of Alzheimer’s. Teddy loves his grandma and wants to buy her a special clock that reminds her of her own childhood, but circumstances beyond his control may prevent Teddy for ever seeing his grandmother again.

Sylvia Winters has returned to her hometown of Dreyerville, but she’s not sure if she’ll be welcomed back with open arms. Eight years previously, she had left suddenly and secretively, leaving behind her heartbroken fiancĂ©, Joe Dixon. Now, in the small town, the two run into each other constantly and find there is still a spark of desire, but can they both overcome the past to pursue a future together?

Doris Culver takes for granted that her marriage has lost it’s passion, but she still loves her husband. She finds ways to spend her time, working at her beloved bakery, painting ceramics, and spending time with her neighbor, Lottie . But lately Doris has become worried about Lottie’s state of mind, and wonders if she will be able to continue to care for her young grandson.

As concern over Lottie and Teddy grows, the lives of the two couples who care for them both take on transformations of their own. Love conquers the past, the fears and the impossible to bring a satisfying ending for everyone

A Creed Country Christmas: A Montana Creeds Novel
By Linda Lael Miller
Harlequin Books; $16.95

Linda Lael Miller’s “Montana Creeds” series is one of her most popular, following the lives of the Creed brothers and their sexy cowboying ways.

In her new Christmas novel, “A Creed Country Christmas,” Miller tells the story of the the great-grandpappy of the boys – and yes, he’s pretty sexy himself!

In the wilds of Montana, widowed rancher Lincoln Creed is up against some fierce odds, but none more pressing than finding a good female influence for his young daughter, Gracie. Lincoln must find little Gracie a governess, a lady who can teach and cook, but he’s not ready to look for a wife -not yet.

Juliana Mitchell is having her fair share of troubles of her own. A teacher at a recently closed Indian School, she must find a place for her young students and fast. When circumstances brings Lincoln and Gracie in her life, Juliana feels her prayers have been answered. She doesn’t realize that her heart’s longing might be answered as well.

As usual, Miller’s wonderful story-telling skills are at work here, and “A Creed Country Christmas” is a lovely, romantic story that will warm your heart.

Available October 27th.

Cowboy Christmas
By Mary Connealy
Barbour Publishing; $10.97

Annette Talbot is a wonderful singer, but she has her morals as well. When faced with an impossible situation, she finds she just wants to head home to Wyoming. But things are not as they were when she was a child, and she must find the gumption to face an uncertain and dangerous future.

Rancher Elijah Walker remembers Annette from long ago, and is shocked to see her condition when they run into each other on the trip home. Though still wounded by the betrayal of his devious ex-fiancée, Elijah finds himself attracted to the beautiful but secretive singer.

When it appears Annie is in danger, and could be bringing that danger to his family, Elijah must decide if Annie’s deep faith and love of God is genuine or if it’s all just a front. He decides to trust her—until he discovers she’s a wanted woman. As Christmas draws near, will Elijah respond to God’s gentle persuasion to find the truth before he loses Annie forever?

Mary Connealy delivers an inspirational tale of faith and romance in her Christmas offering, “Cowboy Christmas.” Full of suspense, the story will keep readers guessing until the very end.

Oh good! I think I'll go ahead and request these books at the library, since it will be a while before I get them!

I've completely panicked at the idea of Christmas being 3 months away! Keep your countdown going to remind me how far out we are... :)
