"Murder She Wrote: Murder Never Takes A Holiday" - Jessica Fletcher rides again!

Looking for a great holiday gift for that mystery lover in your life? Look no further than "Murder She Wrote: Murder Never Takes A Holiday!"

One of the most popular mystery series on television was ”Murder, She Wrote,” starring Angela Lansbury as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher. The series aired for twelve seasons from 1984 to 1996. The televison show still runs in syndication, but brining a whole new slew of fans is the current series of new “Murder She Wrote” stories from “Jessica Fletcher”

Well, with a little help from author Donald Bain!

Bain is currently involved in writing a series of 33 original novels (hard and softcover) based upon the television series. They're published by Obsidian, and are written “in collaboration" with TV's most famous mystery writer, Jessica Fletcher of "Murder, She Wrote," who exists only as a fictitious character.

The latest in this series is the holiday “two-fer” “Murder Never Takes A Holiday.”

Two intriguing mysteries set during the Christmas holidays finds Jessica Fletcher knee-deep in solving murders when she should be shopping for Christmas presents, and spending the holidays with all her friends in Cabot Cove!

In “Manhattans & Murder,” Jessica's new book tour brings her to New York for Christmas, where she sees an old resident of Cabot Cove, notorious crook Waldo Morse, dressed as a sidewalk Santa. When she agrees to meet with Waldo, Jessica ends up witnessing his murder. With the police slow on their feet, and the victim's wife on the run, Jessica decides to do whatever it takes to stop a killer from spoiling the season.

And in “A Little Yuletide Murder,” Cabot Cove local Rory Brent is found shot to death on his farm, and everyone assumes the culprit is Brent's longtime enemy, Jake Walther, the meanest man in town. But Jessica thinks otherwise, and she's determined to deliver the real killer before Christmas. The trouble is, the next sound she hears this silent night may be a scream-her own.

Reading these stories is a true delight, for fans of Jessica Fletcher and fans of good mysteries both! Written in an easy, captivating style, you will feel as if you are watching an episode of the “Murder She Wrote” series unfold before your “reading” eyes.

The “Murder She Wrote” novels are scheduled to come out with great frequency, and I, for one, look forward to the next in the series!

Can you believe it? All these years of Murder She Wrote being on our screens and I never thought for one moment of there being books involved. Now I feel so totally stupid.
