The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber and That Holiday Feeling: A Christmas story collection

Today marks the fifteenth day that I’ve been reviewing Christmas books, and it also marks the day that I announce the winner of the Christmas Book Basket! (that comes a little later, patience my friends!!)

With a mere 9 shopping days until Christmas, today I bring you the Queen of Christmas books, Debbie Macomber!

Debbie is a real Christmas kind of gal (she says she puts up five trees and several dozen Nativity scenes in her home each year!) And each year, she gives her readers and fans the sweet gift of a new holiday story that are guaranteed to charm, if not push you right into the holiday spirit!

This year’s new selection is “The Perfect Christmas.” Debbie also has a story in the new Christmas collection, “That Holiday Feeling.” So if you need a little Christmas pick-me-up, look no further than a book by Debbie Macomber, Santa’s own little romance writer!

The Perfect Christmas

Debbie Macomber is also renown for her delightful Christmas books, with her novel “Mrs. Miracle” having been recently made into a Hallmark movie. This year, Debbie keeps up her tradition of holiday storytelling with “The Perfect Christmas.”

Thirty-something Cassie Beaumont is ready to settle down, find a husband and have a family, but so far she has had no luck in the dating field. So out of desperation, she turns to a matchmaker.

Simon Dodson is a professional matchmaker and he is very picky about who he takes on as a client. Much to Cassie’s surprise, he accepts her, but gives her three tasks to complete before he will find her a perfect match. Three tasks that are all about Christmas: being a charity bell ringer, dressing up as Santa's elf at a local mall and preparing a traditional turkey dinner for her neighbors (whom she happens to dislike).

Cassie completes her tasks, despite a few twists and turns and a daring highflying performance! But along the way, as she gets to know Simon better, she soon discovers that perhaps she doesn’t need the matchmaker’s assistance after all. Perhaps her perfect match is right in front of her!

This is a delightful story that proves that Christmas and love both can be in your heart, you just have to dig deep and find it.

That Holiday Feeling

This is a collection of Christmas stories by three of the top writers in the business – Debbie Macomber, Sherryl Woods and Robyn Carr. Each lady brings her unique style of writing, and a few beloved characters to this holiday offering, resulting in a delightful mixture of good reading!

Silver Bells by Debbie Macomber

In this charming story, Debbie tells the story of Carrie Weston (a member of Macomber’s beloved Manning family) and the one Christmas that brings love and an adventure or two into her life, courtesy of a single dad and his scheming teenaged daughter.

The Perfect Holiday by Sherryl Woods

Savannah Holiday has inherited her late great-aunt Mae’s bed and breakfast. But she didn’t realize that she had also inherited her aunt’s confidant and friend, Trace Franklin. Will her aunt’s meddling (from the other side!) bring Savannah happiness or heartache with the stoic toymaker, and can Trace loosen up enough to find love with the gorgeous single mother!

Under the Christmas Tree by Robyn Carr

Robyn Carr revisits her beloved Virgin River series with this delightful story. When the folks of Virgin River discover a box of adorable puppies under the town's Christmas tree they call on local vet Nathaniel Jensen for help. But it's his budding romance with Annie McCarty that really has tongues—and tails—wagging!

I’ll announce the winner of the Christmas Basket at noon central time today! Be sure to leave a comment or two while you still have time!

5 trees? I imagine her home is gorgeous! I am counting down the hours and crossing my fingers!

Five trees? Unless they are all real rather than artificial where does she store them for the rest of the year? I bet her home looks like santa's grotto - amazing.
Anyway, thanks for that further selection of Christmas reading. I really must get my hands on some of these for next year.
Don't know if your giveaway is international but I'd love to be included, that basket sounds a real treat. Thanks Sharon.
