Teaser Tuesday! My teaser from "Whisper Falls" by Toni Blake

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading (http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/). Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser today is from Toni Blake's newest book, "Whisper Falls: A Destiny Novel."

"She pointed to the top, 'the story goes that if you stand up there on one side and whisper something, someone standing on the other side will hear you even over the noise of the water."

He looked down at her, clearly intrigued, "Ever try it?"

"Whisper Falls" is truly a beautiful book about how the love between a sweet kind woman and a biker bad boy can overcome any obstacle!  Toni Blake's "Destiny" series, which began with "One Reckless Summer," are romantic, sensual and entertaining!

I hope this little teaser will intrigue you to check out Toni's work!

That really is an intriguing teaser! Since I adored "One Reckless Summer" this one is already on my TBR List. I love the cover, too.

Great teaser!

Here's mine from "Born Under a Lucky Moon" by Dana Precious.

"It says here that Lucy and I have the pink room, Grandma has the guest room, Sammie has the dessert room, Elizabeth and Ron are staying at Evan’s in the Jimi Hendrix room, and Jean-Paul, Anna’s brother, has their back room.” We pondered all of the various options open to us. Chuck could stay on the couch. But no, he was a guest, and furthermore, he was married to Lucy even if we weren’t supposed to know about it.

That's from the second chapter. It’s a really great book, fun and heartwarming about a dysfunctional yet loving family from Michigan.

There are sample chapters at http://www.bornunderaluckymoon.com. And, here is a review of the book: http://blogcritics.org/books/article/book-review-born-under-a-lucky/

What a wonderful book and a great teaser. Thanks for sharing "Whisper Falls." Here is mine from the inspirational memoir, Major Dream: From Immigrant Housemaid to Harvard Ph.D. by Jin Kyu Robertson, PhD. Robertson has gone from factory worker to U.S. Army major to Harvard graduate. Her story is the perfect American dream you can do anything read. Enjoy!

"Like many people during those days, my parents, who were born while Korea was Japanese colony, had never even gone near a school. Life for them consisted primarily of overcoming the daily toils of poverty. As the Second World War was at its peak, my father, Chae-dol Suh, worked as a forced laborer at a coal mine somewhere in Japan."
