Book Review - Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn

Are you looking for a charming, funny, and very romantic novel to spend the weekend with?  Look no further than Julia Quinn's latest book, "Just Like Heaven."

The first Smythe-Smith book in Julia's new spin-off from her fabulous "The Bridgertons" series, reader will adore finally being able to get really acquainted with the quirky musical family that have been popping up in Julia's books for years now!

In this edition, we are introduced to the lovely Honoria Smythe-Smith, and her so-to-be beau, Marcus Holroyd, where we find that -

A) a really bad violinist
B) still miffed at being nicknamed "Bug" as a child
C) NOT in love with her older brother's best friend
D) All of the above

A) the Earl of Chatteris
B) regrettably prone to sprained ankles
C) NOT in love with his best friend's younger sister
D) All of the above

A) eat quite a bit of chocolate cake
B) survive a deadly fever AND world's worst musical performance
C) fall quite desperately in love.

It's Julia Quinn at her best, so you KNOW the answer is...

D) All of the above.

"Just Like Heaven" features laughter, tears, love and a little bit of hate, and a spell-binding drama - what more could you ask for in a book? I was totally enchanted with this lively tale and I can't wait for the next installment of the Smythe-Smith stories! (ok, I just like saying Smythe-Smith!)

My thanks to Avon Books for the review copy of this book. I was not compensated for my opinion.

This sounds like a fun read and to know it's the start of a series makes it that much more attractive. Adding it to my list. Nice review, Sharon.
