To the rescue comes the Gooseberry Patch folks with their latest book, "Quick and Easy Christmas."
This spiral-bound cookbook is full of over 220 recipes from cooks from all over the country that are great for the holidays, or any other time that you need something quick and easy to fix. Plus they have added tips and ideas on holiday decorations, crafts, and gift ideas as well.
Divided into six sections (Breakfast and Brunch, Snacks and Appetizers, Soups, Sides and Salads, Mains, Desserts and Slow Cooker), it is easy to find something yummy and fast to satisfy the entire family.
Here is one recipe I intend to try this Christmas -
3 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. oil
1 t. nutmeg
1-1/3 c. eggnog
2 c. powdered sugar
2 T. margarine, softened
1 t. vanilla extract
3 to 4 T. eggnog
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except eggnog. Add enough eggnog to reach a glaze consistency.
Be sure to check out the Gooseberry Patch website for more information on this book, and the many other wonderful cookbooks they have to offer. You can even find free recipes there as well! http://www.gooseberrypatch.com/
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review. I was not compensated for my opinion.
