Book Blog Tour Stop - Beyond Molasses Creek by Nicole Seitz

Today, I'm happy to be hosting a book blog tour stop for Nicole Seitz's new book, Beyond Molasses Creek.

About The Book:

Three lives are bound by a single book . . . and the cleansing waters of Molasses Creek.

Having traveled to the ends of the earth as a flight attendant, Ally Green has finally returned to the Lowcountry to bury her father as well as the past. But Vesey Washington is still living across the creek, and theirs is a complicated relationship—he was once her best friend . . . and also part of the reason she’s stayed away so long. When Ally discovers a message her father left behind asking her to quit running, it seems her past isn’t through with her yet.

As Ally’s wandering spirit wrestles with a deep longing to flee again, a young woman on the other side of the world escapes her life of slavery in the rock quarries of Nepal. A mysterious sketchbook leads Sunila Kunari to believe there’s more to her story than she’s ever been told, and she’s determined to follow the truth wherever it leads her.

A deep current intertwines the lives of these three souls, and a destiny of freedom, faith, and friendship awaits them all on the banks of Molasses Creek.

Powerful and heart-wrenching, this novel took me by surprise.  The characters are mature in age (The main character, Ally, is 60 years old) and therefore doing a lot of reflecting on their lives - what was good, what was bad, what they did right, what they had regrets about - and I found I really enjoyed this voice of the story.

Nicole Seitz's sensitive and creative storytelling style draws the readers right into the story, and it keeps you entralled to the very end. She weaves the stories of Ally, Vesey, and Sunali together to create a fine tapestry of a tale that will resonant with women, especially mothers.

This is a thoughtful and beautiful novel, meant to be savored and mulled over. I feel privileged to have read it and I highly recommend it.

I received a copy of this for review from Litfuse Publicity. I was not compensated for my opinion.

This sounds really good, Sharon. I don't often see novels in my age demographic so I'm adding BMC to my wish list. Thanks for telling us about it!
