Saturday Snapshot - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm proud to be an Irish girl!

My dad's side of the family - The Galligar's - came over from County Cork, and I'm proud to say I have all the good attributes of a good Irish girl - I've got the temper to prove it too!

So here's to the best-looking Irishman I know - my dad, Chuck Galligar!

Hope you have a wonderful, spring-like St. Paddy's day today - and I leave you with this blessing:

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Alyce’s site.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link at Alyce's blog. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you.

That's a great picture of your dad! I had St. Patrick's Day dinner with my father today. Nice to share a little corned beef and cabbage.

Nice blog. As a lover of books you might be interested in the word play involved in cryptic crosswords. I am doing a series of posts on solving cryptic clues. This was the first one I did. http://caroleschatter.blogspot.co.nz/2012/01/cryptic-crosswords-solving-hints-1.html Hope you enjoy.

well if it can't be raining men, raining shamrocks is pretty cool! Thanks to Alyce whose post preceeds mine for her Saturday Snapshot that lead me here!

Thank you all for your kind comments! I think my dad was about 21 in that picture. He was a loving, kind, loud Irishman and I loved him dearly. He's been gone now 34 years and I still miss him like crazy!

I love the Napoleon pose of your father.
He looks like he really knew how to throw back a Guinness and have a good time!

Thank you all for your sweet comments! Yes, my dad knew how to have a good time, but my mom said that after I was born, he never took another drink - said that was for boys and he had a family to think of now! Pretty admirable!
