About The Book:
Meet two single parents who think they're too busy to date.
And two teenagers who can't stop writing flirty emails.
This is a tale of connections—missed and made—in a universe that seems to have its heart set on reuniting Ms. 6B and Mr. 13C.
"In The Bag" is one of the most clever novels that I have read this summer. Written in four, yes Four, voices - the two teenagers, and the two adults - about a vacation that goes slightly off-kilter, this story is full of humor, romance, and a lot of fun!
I could really identify with the poor frazzled mom and dad as they try desperately to keep up with their highly active and intelligent teens, while trying to carve out a life of their own.
Kate Klise does a fantastic job of keeping her characters in line and her story moving along nicely - I truly admire her storytelling skills and look forward to seeing what she has up her sleeve for her next "grown-up" book.
About The Author:
As a correspondent for People magazine, Kate Klise covered everything from celebrity scandals to serial killers. After writing several bestselling children's books, Kate decided to write In the Bag, her first novel for adults, when she found a note from a fellow passenger in her carry-on bag.
