Weekend Cooking - Happy Fall Ya'll!

Fall is here, Fall is here!  I'm so happy I could just do a somersault (and that would be a miracle, let me tell you!)

I love fall!  I love the colors, the sights, the weather, and most of all the smells of fall!

And in celebration of the first day of Fall, I threw together some of my favorite fall snacking mix - Candy Corn and Peanuts!  Yep, simple, but ohhhh so goood!

It's not hard - you take a jar of dry roasted peanuts and a bunch of candy corn and viola!  There ya go!

photo from Christie Jordan's Southern Plate blog!

But this year, I added a  couple of little twists!  I spied a sack of carmel apple candy corn and thought, hey now!  That would be a dandy little addition to the mix!

And then I saw the new Candy Corn  M&Ms - and you just know I had to add some of those in!

Love that grumpy Red M&M!

Manna from Heaven!

Isn't this a cute way to package the mix up for a small gift!!!

Sometimes  like Southern Plate blogger and author Christie Jordan says, it's the simple things!

I spotted caramel apple candy corn in the store for the first time yesterday! Will have to give it a try sometime this season... not sure about the white chocolate M&M's though.

Candy corn always mystifies me, it looks quite tasty, but I've never seen it in European stores before. That said, your fall snacking mix (especially put in that glass pot!) looks delectable :)

I saw pumpkin-flavored Hershey kisses -- so many fall colors and flavors. I love it. I'll have to look for those fun candy corns.

You're the candy corn queen! Must look for those caramel apple ones and the M&M's :). What will they think of next?

Thank you all for stopping by! The carmel candy corn is pretty good - a different taste from the regular. I even saw green apple candy corn ones today at the store! And surprisingly the white chocolate M&Ms are really good! Very sweet, but good! :)

Such a cute idea; I'm going to make some jars for when I visit family this fall.
