A Christmas Gift - Hannah's Miracle by D.L. Chance

Author (and all-around great husband) D.L. Chance is offering a Christmas reading gift to all - His holiday tale, "Hannah's Miracle," to read for free!

The lure of riches found in the gold and silver mines of the American West drew men like magnets to try their luck at striking it rich. It drew women too-but to make their fortune other ways. Hannah is a women of fragile beauty and deep mystery who find herself living the hard life of a frontier woman that must make it without the security of a man or a family. Sharing a bond of mutual support and affection with another in her circumstance, they face together, the hardships that takes a toll but not their hearts. A holiday story of hope and sweetness in the midst of hardship and struggle.

This is probably one of my favorite stories of Don's and I'm thrilled to share it with my readers here!

At around 4,000 words, it's a quick read, but one that will leave you with a warm feeling in your heart and a renewed faith in the human spirit.

While you're at his blog, check out Don's author page as well as his music page! I'm pretty proud of him!

A voracious reader from early childhood, Donald Lynn Chance (Don, to friends and family) was looking to add to his artistic pursuits after almost twenty years as a professional studio and road musician, songwriter, film actor and pen & ink artist when he decided to try writing by revisiting the journalism of his high school and college days.

Eleven finished novels, a couple dozen short stories and almost three thousand newspaper and magazine articles later, D.L. Chance is as proud of his writing career as he is any of of his other talent-expanding interests.

"Like Heinlein said," Chance is fond of explaining, "specialization is for ants."
