Book Review and Book Blog Tour Stop - The Apocalypse of Hagren Roose by J.W. Nicklaus

I'm honored today to be the second stop on J.W. Nicklaus' book blog tour, promoting his new novella, "The Apocalypse of Hagren Roose."

The Apocalypse of Hagren Roose 2

ABOUT THE APOCALYPSE OF HAGREN ROOSE

Once a small-town success and happy family man, Hagren Roose finds his slide backwards at once abrupt and wrenching. His small-town mentality sets him on a journey of his own making, of which he has no control—and only he can atone for.

I'm sure that everyone has their own thoughts on their idea of heaven and the inevitable Judgement Day.  J.W. Nicklaus put his own spin on this idea and creates a beautifully presented tale of one man's opportunity to come face-to-face with his past and how he might have a chance for redemption.

Nicklaus' prose is stunning in this short novella, and gives the reader both pleasure in reading and pause for thought as the story unfolds.  The characters in this scenario are personable, and very easy to relate to, and the situation that draws them all together is a very real fact of life that occurs all too often.

But it is the journey to a heavenly plane of the story that gives the reader cause to wonder and ponder, and isn't that what great fiction is meant to do - make us think.

I highly recommend "The Apocalypse of Hagren Roose."

ABOUT J.W. NICKLAUS

J.W. Nicklaus attests to living somewhere between the city closest to the Sun and upon the precipice of Hell—but the winters are mild in Arizona.

An avid reader and peerless amateur philosopher, he is “DNA and energy. I am cellular and soulful. I am shadow and light. I am carbon and water . . . and I am stardust. As are we all.”

His singular ambition is simple: to leave the world a slightly better place than when he came into it.

J.W. latest book is the fiction drama novella, The Apocalypse of Hagren Roose.

How thoroughly wonderful that I could make someone pause and think, if only for a few moments.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I know how much you read (and write) so having such praise is humbling indeed :^)
