Book Review/Blog Tour Stop - Waiting For Spring by Amanda Cabot

I love Amanda Cabot's writing, and was thrilled to be asked to review her latest book, "Waiting For Spring: Book Two of the Westward Winds Series."

A new identity may protect her family--but can it protect her heart?
After the loss of her husband and the birth of her baby, Charlotte has had a long, hard year. But she can find no rest from the ghosts of the past and flees to Cheyenne to put the pieces of her life back together.

Wealthy cattle baron and political hopeful Barrett Landry must make a sensible match if he is to be elected senator of the soon-to-be state of Wyoming. He needs someone with connections. Someone without a past. Yet he can't shake the feeling that Charlotte holds the key to his heart and his future.

Will Charlotte and Barrett find the courage to look love in the face? Or will their fears blot out any chance for happiness?

I was absolutely fascinated by both the story here, and the setting.  Cheyenne, Wyoming is a historical town and Amanda Cabot brings her readers right into the heart of the beginnings of this western community at it's finest beginnings. Having visited the area, I can vouch for the authenticity of this story's location - very well done!

And although this is the second book in this series, the first being centered on Charlotte's sister, it was quite easy to pick up on the back story of this series and enjoy the story of oldest sister Charlotte.

Cabot mixes a beautiful romantic story with an intriguing mystery to create a tale that moves along quickly and keeps the reader entralled to the very end.

I highly recommend this book for fans of historical fiction, inspirational fiction, and charming, sweet love stories.  I highly recommend anything written by Amanda Cabot, for that matter!
