Book Spotlight - The She-Hulk Diaries by Marta Acosta and Rogue Touch by Christine Woodward

When my sons were little, they loved super-heroes of all kinds!  Superman, Batman, X-men, you name it!  And while the boys loved the guy heroes, I always kind of rooted for the girls who were associated with the super-ones!

Now Marvel Books and Hyperion Books have tapped into the girl super-heroes and developed novels that feature these talented, tragic and powerful gals!

These novels feature empowering and strong female super heroines, showcasing their internal struggles with romance and relationships, and highlighting the vulnerabilities and differences that set them apart from so many other fictional characters.

The first two books, released today, feature the green-hued She-Hulk and my all time favorite, Rogue.

In THE SHE-HULK DIARIES, Jennifer Walters, a high-powered attorney specializing in superhuman law, is also known as She-Hulk, a 6’10’’ crime-fighting, party-loving Super Hero of incredible power and strength. When the novel opens the duo has been kicked out of the Avengers Mansion; Jennifer is without a job, a boyfriend, and a permanent place to live, and She-Hulk has been relegated to handling only local crime until a new superhuman, with a vendetta against She-Hulk, emerges causing chaos throughout New York City.

In ROGUE TOUCH Anna Marie, later known as Rogue, must navigate the challenges of everyday life and romance— all while having a touch that’s deadly. While on the run after accidentally putting her first boyfriend (and then later her boss) in a coma, she meets James, also known as Touch, who’s on the run to escape his mysterious and dangerous family. Sparks fly, and eventually, Rogue has to decide whether she will unleash her powers in order to save the only man alive who seems to truly understand her.

These two books are available at any bookstore and online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and more.

Watch for my reviews of these two books coming soon!

My thanks to Hyperion Books for providing the review copies.  I was not compensated for my opinion.
