Book Review - Big Sky Summer by Linda Lael Miller

About The Book:

The "First Lady of the West," #1 New York Times bestselling author Linda Lael Miller, welcomes you home to Parable, Montana—where love awaits.

With his father's rodeo legacy to continue and a prosperous spread to run, Walker Parrish has no time to dwell on wrecked relationships. But country-western sweetheart Casey Elder is out of the spotlight and back in Parable, Montana. And Walker can't ignore that his "act now, think later" passion for Casey has had consequences. Two teenage consequences!

Keeping her children's paternity under wraps has always been part of Casey's plan to give them normal, uncomplicated lives. Now the best way to hold her family together seems to be to let Walker be a part of it—as her husband of convenience. Or will some secrets—like Casey's desire to be the rancher's wife in every way—unravel, with unforeseen results?

My Thoughts:

The end of summer is soon upon us, but that doesn't mean you can't catch up with a few of your favorite authors who have had releases this season.  I'm doing so with "Big Sky Summer."

This is Linda Lael Miller's fourth book in her "Big Sky" series, featuring the folks of Parable, Montana, and it is a great continuation of the storyline.  Miller brings back visits from previous characters as she weaves their stories into the current tale, and I like that in a serial book.

The main story here is a fascinating look at how two former lovers can reunite and see if the flame of their love still flickers. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline here, and as always, Miller makes her books shine with personality, romance and warmth.

I look forward to more stories in this series. "Big Sky Wedding" has recently been released, and coming up in December is the finale of the Parable, Montana books, "Big Sky Secrets."
