Saturday Snapshot - Hotter N' Hell 100 Bike Ride

Every year, for the past 32 years, my hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas has been the host to the largest bike ride in the country, the Hotter N' Hell 100.

My son Clayton has ridden in this ride for three years now, and today, he's out putting in the miles in this year's event!

Ready to ride before the sun even comes up!

We are so proud of him and wish him lots of luck!!

The beginning of the ride - over 12,000 riders come to participate!

Saturday Snapshot is a weekly meme sponsored by West Metro Mommy. Check out her blog to see what other bloggers are sharing!  www.westmetromommy.blogspot.com

Good luck to Clayton! Seems like an apt name title. The hottest place I have been is San Antonio, Texas and I'm used to hot in Florida.
Hope there is plenty of water on hand. :-)

It looks like a huge event - it must really be something to take part in that. This week I've shifted my Snapshot on to my other blog http://goo.gl/4Z1dgf

What an amazing event, I hadn't heard of it before. 100 miles in 100 degree heat sounds so difficult- extraordinary that so many people take it on.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments! Clayton did real well - came in at just over 4 hours! Which considering it was over 100 degrees out there on the road yesterday was pretty durn good!
