New Release Spotlight - When The Marquess Met His Match: An American Heiress In London by Laura Lee Guhrke

About The Book:

In the first of a dazzling new series, USA Today bestselling author Laura Lee Guhrke introduces London's most renowned matchmaker—and a scoundrel intent on seducing his way to the altar.

She's the matchmaker . . .
Lady Belinda Featherstone's job is to guide American heiresses to matrimony, and away from men like Nicholas, Marquess of Trubridge. But the charming, disreputable marquess needs a wealthy bride, and he hires Belinda to help him find one. Her task seems easy: find that scoundrel the sort of wife he so richly deserves. But Nicholas's hot, searing kiss soon proves her task will be anything but easy.
He's the perfect match . . .
Nicholas plans to wed a rich, pretty young darling to restore his fortune, and he's happy to pay a marriage broker to help him. But one taste of Belinda's lips and Nicholas's sensible scheme to marry for money goes awry, and he yearns to show his beautiful matchmaker he's the perfect match . . . for her.

My Thoughts:

I always enjoy reading Laura Lee Guhrke's historical romances, and I found her latest book to be up to her usual high standards - a great story filled with fascinating characters, a fun premise, and a fast-moving plot!  What more could you ask for in a romance?

I particularly loved this story of Belinda Featherstone.  She's a spunky, sassy American gal who takes London by storm with her unique take on relationships.  She's mature, level-headed, but still not immune to romance and happily-ever-afters!

"When The Marquess Met His Match" is the first book in Guhrke's new series, and I can't wait to see what else she has up her sleeve in the stories to come!

About The Author:

Laura Lee Guhrke spent seven years in advertising, had a successful catering business, and managed a construction company before she decided writing novels was more fun. When she's not tapping away at her keyboard, Laura spends time relearning how to ski, mastering the wakeboard grab, and trying to actually hit a golf ball.

Check out her website at www.lauraleeguhrke.com for more info on her books and upcoming projects.  Plus, she's got a pretty cool contest going on right now too!

My thanks to Avon Books for providing the review copy of this book. I was not compensated for my opinion.
