Book Blog Tour Stop - A Marriage In Middlebury by Anita Higman

About The Book:

One decision changed both their lives . . . but will love win in the end? Charlotte Rose Hill enjoys a comfortable life serving up country delicacies, uniquely blended teas, and matchmaking advice for her quirky, devoted customers. The only thing lacking is someone to share it with. At eighteen she denied Sam Wilder’s marriage proposal after his family convinced her to walk away from their relationship. They both moved on . . . or so she thought.

When Sam walks back into her life more than a decade later, Charlotte is surprised that her heart still quickens. But is it because of his presence? Or because of the presence of Sam’s new fiancée? A second chance at love doesn’t happen often, but their past may keep them apart. Is it too late for Sam and Charlotte?

My Thoughts:

Small town charm, personable characters, and a heartwarming romance are the highlights of Anita Higman's latest novel, "A Marriage In Middlebury."

Readers will be transported to the idyllic town of Middlebury, Texas, where everyone knows everyone else's business, but do their best to help out in any way they can. Charlotte Rose Hill, the owner of the Rose Hill Tea Cottage, is the heart of the town, with loving and caring ways that make her to the go-to gal for anyone with troubles. But Charlotte has a few troubles of her own, especially when her high-school sweetheart Sam returns to town - with a fiancée in tow. The path to love is often a rocky road, but in this inspirational and faith-filled story, the path is smoothed with the power of prayer and the grace for hope.

I really enjoyed this book - the characters are people you'd love to have in your life, and Middlebury is a town I want to move to!  Anita Higman does a wonderful job of creating a story that will resonate with her readers, and have them longing for (hopefully) the next novel featuring this sweet little town.

I highly recommend "A Marriage in Middlebury" for anyone who loves a happily-ever-after story!
