A Trio of Romances - Something Fun for the Weekend!

Looking for something to read this weekend?  Check out this trio of novels that are sure to thrill the romantic in everyone!

"The Wedding Favor: A Save The Date Novel" by Cara Connelly

The Wedding Favor (Save the Date, #2)
In her deliciously sexy debut, Cara Connelly gives a whole new meaning to crashing a wedding.

Before the wedding

Tyrell Brown wanted to get the hell out of Houston and back to his ranch. Instead, he’s stuck on a flight to France for his best friend’s wedding. To top it off, he discovers he’s sharing a seat with Victoria Westin, the blue-eyed, stiletto-heeled lawyer who’s been a thorn in his side for months.

At the wedding

Victoria can’t believe it! How can she be at the same wedding as this long, lean cowboy with a killer smile? So what if they shared a few in-flight cocktails, some serious flirting, and a near-miss at the mile-high club? She still can’t stand the man!

After the wedding

The wedding disaster’s in the rearview, but the sizzle between these two is still red-hot. They tried to be on their best behavior in France, but back in the States all bets are off.

Mini-Review:

Fun, feisty and fantastic!  This debut novel for author Cara Connelly begins a trilogy that promises to become a favorite among contemporary romance fans.  The characters in this story are such fun to get to know, and the settings of Paris, Houston are dazzling, and the romance is sizzling.  I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I look forward to the next novel in the series!

(Be sure to also check out Cara's e-book novella, "The Wedding Date," which begins the series with a bang!)

Big Sky Secrets: A Parable Montana Novel by Linda Lael Miller

Big Sky Secrets (Parable, Montana, #6)
The "First Lady of the West," #1 New York Times bestselling author Linda Lael Miller delivers the stunning finale of her acclaimed series set in Parable, Montana—where love awaits

Self-made tycoon Landry Sutton heads to Hangman Bend's Ranch to sell his land to his brother Zane. Though he's got cowboy in his blood, Landry plans to return to city life before the dust even settles on his boots. Of course, he didn't count on falling for Big Sky Country… or Ria Manning.

Ria's starting to settle into country life herself… until she has a close encounter of the terrifying kind with a buffalo. Turns out the peeping monster belongs to the cowboy next door—and he has her running even more scared than his bison. She wants a home where the buffalo don't roam, and the men don't either. Could Landry's homecoming be her heart's undoing?

Mini-Review:

As always, Linda Lael Miller brings her faithful fans a mesmerizing romance that is filled with emotion.  This final book of her "Big Sky" series wraps up the series with a sweet farewell to the characters who have made this such a great group of books. The main story between Landon and Ria is captivating and heartwarming and shows that families matter, love can be fulfilling, and life can be sweet.

If you haven't read the rest of the books in this series, you might want to go back to brush up on the happenings in Parable, Montana. But for those who have been following the stories, this is a fitting and satisfying ending.  Now Miller's fans can look forward to her new series, "The Brides of Bliss County," coming soon!

Rodeo Queen by T.J. Kline

Rodeo Queen
Sydney Thomas may be the newest Rodeo Queen on the circuit, but she's more than just a pretty face and fabulous horseback rider. If only her new boss could see it! But the frustrating, bossy, drop-dead gorgeous man seems bent on pushing her away every chance he gets.

Scott Chandler learned at an early age that he needed to "cowboy up" and take care of his family. The one time he let his guard down, his heart got trampled, and he's not about to let that happen again. He knows Sydney's type: rodeo queens who hide their manipulative ways behind good looks, tight jeans, and glittery tiaras.

But just as Scott and Sydney are finally realizing there might be more to their fiery relationship than scorching kisses and passionate nights, secrets from their pasts come back to haunt them. Will the cowboy and the Rodeo Queen ever be able to ride off into the sunset together?

Mini Review:

Take a feisty cowgirl and a handsome cowboy, add in the mixture of lively competition in a rodeo setting, and throw in some sizzling romance, and you've got a great story. T.J. Kline's "Rodeo Queen" has all this and more, and fans of contemporary romance, cowboys, and just plain fun sexy reading are going to love this novel!

I love that Kline takes experiences of her own background as a rodeo competitor and incorporates it into her lively story.  Readers will experience a real sense of the rodeo action in this book as they enjoy the humor filled and definitely sexy tale.  I loved it and look forward to more from this author.

My thanks to Avon Books, Harlequin Books and Little Bird Publicity for providing the review copies of these books. I was not compensated for my opinion.
