Just Can't Get Enough of Heroes! Two Harlequin selections for February

Who doesn't love a great romance from Harlequin Books?

I have been reading Harlequins since I was, well, "borrowing" them from my cousins at a young age! :)  And to this day, I'm still amazed at the wide assortment of titles that come out each month from the writers for this amazing publisher.

Harlequin has a great new campaign going during 2014!

Harlequin’s "Just Can’t Get Enough" Campaign will feature a new series theme and titles every month. This month's theme is Sexy Heroes.

Here is a little more about two of the books highlighted for this month's theme -

About The Book:

Years ago, Will Cash wasn’t interested in being a dad. So Marsha Bugler left town to raise her baby alone. But when her father’s health begins to fail, she realizes she needs to return to Arizona—and introduce Will to his boy. Marsha is nervous to face Will not only because she lied, but because she’s never stopped thinking about her cowboy crush.

Will is shocked to discover he has a son. And he can hardly believe the changes in Marsha. She’s strong, sexy and a Ph.D. while Will’s still a part-time cowboy living in a bunkhouse with his brothers. What does he have to offer her and his teenage son? Will has a lot to prove if he’s going to get what he wants—the family he never knew he had.

My Thoughts:

Family secrets can be hard to deal with when you are trying to establish a relationship with someone you love - and when those secrets are carried over year after year, explanations can become downright impossible.  This is the overall theme of Marin Thomas' novel, "Her Secret Cowboy," the third book in her "Cash Brothers" series.

This is brother Will's story and it's a doozy!  Will learns that a one-night encounter back in high school has resulted in a son he has never met - until this summer. And as Will becomes adjusted to the idea of becoming a father, he finds himself drawn back to the feeling he had for Marsha Bugler, the mother of his son.  But will too much time and too many secrets come between their search for a love renewed?

Marin Thomas does a wonderful job of continuing this story of the wild Cash brothers. The drama of the family ties and relationships are portrayed so realistically, and the romance is charming and sizzling. And I love how Thomas brings the rest of the family into Will and Marsha's story as well. This was a perfectly delightful read - great for a snowy afternoon!

Fans of family-themed contemporary themed romance will adore this book. I urge readers to check out the other books, "The Cowboy Next Door" and "Twins Under the Christmas Tree," in this series as well.

About The Author:

Marin Thomas is a best-selling Harlequin author. To date she has contracted over 33 stories for the American Romance line. She grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, then left the Midwest to attend college in Tucson, Arizona where she played basketball for the Lady Wildcats and earned a B.A. in Radio-TV. Following graduation she married her college sweetheart in a five-minute ceremony at the historical Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada. She and her family currently live in Arizona where the rugged desert and breathtaking sunsets provide plenty of inspiration for Marin's cowboy books.

About The Book:

Where Navy SEAL “Bad Ass” Brody Lane goes, trouble follows. Being run out of his hometown years ago for misbehaving with Genna Reilly—the sheriff’s daughter—was one thing. Now Brody is about to step into real danger. Not the suggestive letters he’s been exchanging with Genna, but the kind of trouble that can send a soldier home injured and broken inside…

Genna’s entire life has been orchestrated by her family. The right job. The right friends. Enough! Brody’s return offers the promise of lust-filled pleasures. Of flesh teased and tasted. She’s not expecting to find a soldier with distant eyes who has secluded himself from the world. But this good girl knows exactly how to bring a bad boy back to life….

My Thoughts:

If you are looking for a hot, steamy romance with a handsome SEAL as the hero and a sassy, brassy gal as the heroine, then "A SEAL's Salvation is the book for you!

Filled with very hot (read - erotic) sexy scenes, adventure, angst, and family drama, this novel is quite the roller-coaster ride of a story.  I particularly admires author Tawny Weber's take on how a soldier deals with post-traumatic stress after being in the war, and how the love of his life treats him afterwards.  It was well-written and tastefully presented to the reader.

This is the second book in Weber's "Uniformly Hot" series, and it can stand alone as a great story, but do yourself a favor and check out the first book, "A SEAL's Seduction," for more adventure and steamy fun.

About The Author:

USA Today Bestselling author Tawny Weber has been writing sassy, sexy romances since her first Harlequin Blaze hit the shelves in 2007. A fan of Johnny Depp, cupcakes and color coordination, she spends a lot of her time shopping for cute shoes, scrapbooking and hanging out on Facebook.

I received review copies of these books from the publisher for consideration. I was not compensated for my opinions.

I think both books sound good, Sharon. I've read a couple of Marin Thomas's books and enjoyed them.
