Saturday Snapshot - My Document Life Project

This year I am embarking on a journaling project!  I discovered a group on Facebook called The Documented Life Project.

This group is headed by five fabulous artists -

Lorraine Bell
Rae Missigman
Sandi Keene
Roben-Marie Smith
Barbara Moore

The idea of the project is to creatively journal your life.  There is a weekly art prompt and tons and tons of inspiration for just making your life more artistically creative!  It's a lot of fun, and currently there are over 5,000 participating!

If you'd like to check the project out - here is the link for the Facebook page, and also the blog page.

Here is a few of the pages I've done so far - I'm woefully behind, but catching up and having a blast doing so.  It feels good to get a paint brush and/or a glue stick back in my hands again!

Week One - draw your front door

My "One Little Word" for the year - Renew!

Week Two - create a page with a picture of yourself

A two-page spread with some of my pictures from the Styx concert and a little of the confetti that I caught!

I'm having such a good time with this project and it has gotten me back in the habit of journaling!  I'll post more pictures from time to time!

What a wonderful project! I can see how it would encourage journaling and spark creativity too. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creative journal entries.

What a great project. Not one that I would be clever enough to try, but it will be a perfect memento of your year.

Oh, wow, that sounds like a lot of fun! I'm not very artistic, but I love the look of the pages you've done so far - very creative!

Beautiful work! I don't have time to do this, but it does remind me about how much I love to write in a journal. I also love to draw, so maybe I will start something up and incorporate both. Thanks for the inspiration!
