The Taste of Apple Seeds by Katharina Hagena - Review and Giveaway!

About The Book:

The internationally bestselling tale of love, loss, and memories that run deep.

When Iris unexpectedly inherits her grandmother's house in the country, she also inherits the painful memories that live there. Iris gives herself a one-week stay at the old house, after which she'll make a decision: keep it or sell it. The choice is not so simple, though, for her grandmother's cottage is an enchanting place, where currant jam tastes of tears, sparks fly from fingertips, love's embrace makes apple trees blossom, and the darkest family secrets never stay buried. . . .

THE TASTE OF APPLE SEEDS is available now at Amazon B&N iTunes IndieBound

My Thoughts:

Sometimes a book which has been published in another country and in another language loses some of it's impact when translated into English, but Katherina Hagena's "The Taste of Apple Seeds" retains it's magical, dramatic impression with it's story of an unusual family and their attempts to keep family secret's ... well, secret!

I found "The Taste of Apple Seeds" to be a uniquely told story that featured so many twists and turns that the reader sometimes needs a roadmap to keep up with all the different characters and their individual stories.  But the tale is well worth the effort.

Fans of family relationships and family dramas will truly enjoy this novel.
