You're Going To Be Okay by Holley Gerth - Book Review

About The Book:

If your life isn't perfect . . .
If you've ever been disappointed . . .
If you feel stressed or tired . . .

 This is for you.
You really are going to be okay. And it truly is possible to live with joy, resilience, and strength no matter what life brings. Yes, there will be hurt and hard times. But God wants to help you find ways to survive, grow stronger, and even thrive--no matter what happens.

With her trademark positive encouragement and probing questions for self-reflection, bestselling author Holley Gerth encourages you to spend less of your life stressing or regretting and more of your life truly living.

My Thoughts:

"You're Going To Be Okay" by author Holley Gerth is one of the most encouraging books on faith that I've had the pleasure of reading lately.

Using her own stories as well as those of others, Gerth gently guides the reader through situations that all women face at one time or another - lack of confidence, questions of self worth, needs for knowing what we are doing is right - and she gives so many examples of how our faith and spiritual relationship will see us through even the hardest of times.

Two quotes that I found particularly meaningful from Gerth's book are:

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faith in prayer." - Romans 12:12

"Dare to find the joy where you are now. Dare to drop your expectations. Dare to believe that only one thing in your life can be perfect - and that is the One who gave it to you."  - Holley Gerth

This book would be perfect for small group settings, or as an individual read. Gerth gives plenty of questions to ponder and loving prayers to keep the reader searching for more.  I highly recommend this book to anyone needing to know that they are okay!
