A Bevy of Summer Romances with Harlequin - Spotlighting A Sinful Seduction by Elizabeth Lane

Nothing goes better with summertime than a stack of sizzling Harlequin romances! And leading the pack for the month of June is a fascinating story set in Africa from author Elizabeth Lane.

About The Book:

A man with a plan… for revenge -

East Africa is the last place philanthropist Cal Jeffords expected to find glamorous Megan Rafferty, his best friend's widow. Now that he's tracked her down—she's been working as a volunteer nurse for his own foundation—he'll stop at nothing to get answers… including getting her into bed. When he finds out what happened to the millions she embezzled from the charity, he'll make her pay.
Megan does have something she's hiding, but it's not what Cal thinks. Ultimately, the truth will make it impossible for him to see their African adventure as a simple seduction—and to let her go.

My Thoughts:

Author Elizabeth Lane takes her readers on an intriguing adventure to Africa with this heart-racing story of love, danger, and benevolence.

I was so impressed with the details that Lane includes in this romantic story - giving the tale the grit it needs to relay to the reader the primitiveness of the setting and the hard work that the main character Megan does as a volunteer nurse working in the Sudan region of Africa.  Lane had definitely done her research on the culture and climate of the region and this is apparent through her storytelling.

Lane doesn't leave out the romance in this story - there is plenty of hot, sizzling scenes, as well as a few tense moments as the couple reacquaint themselves and learn secrets that change both of their lives forever.

I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy contemporary romance with an edge to it.  It's a great summer read!

About The Author:

Elizabeth Lane has lived and travelled in many parts of the world, including Europe, Latin America and the Far East, but her heart remains in the American West, where she was born and raised. Her idea of heaven is hiking a mountain trail on a clear autumn day. She also enjoys music, animals and dancing. Other Harlequin titles that would make for great summer reading include this month's special selection featuring a bevy of handsome cowboys!

Vicki Lewis Thompson kicks off the cowboy parade with the first book in her "Sons of Chance" series - and how could I resist a book about Chances! :)

Saddle up!

There ain't a rider that can't be thrown. And large-animal veterinarian Regan O'Connelli was thrown hard when he discovered his fiancĂ©e with his best friend. Now he's starting his life over at the Last Chance Ranch, run by the tightly knit Chance clan. But damned if his libido hasn't perked up over the spirited redhead who looks a lot like trouble….
Lily King is the queen of anti-structure. Turns out, that makes running a horse sanctuary a challenge. Regan's help is exactly what Lily needs—not to mention the seriously sexy sparks that are flying between them. Now she just has to convince this fallen cowboy to dust himself off and get back in the saddle …and into her bed!

Tanya Michaels offers a fun and sexy tale that will leave a smile on readers' faces and set their hearts to fluttering.  Featuring a feisty heroine and a handsome hero, what more could you want?

He's Just The Hired Help…

What kind of cockeyed Pollyanna is Colin Cade working for? Her porch is rotting, her "guest cabin" is cheerless and her land and livestock have only a geriatric cowboy to care for them. Yet Hannah Shaw is positive she can turn her ranch into a successful B and B—and that Colin's the man to make it happen.
But Colin can't stick around. He lives with the loss of his family by avoiding the memories, and the way he feels around Hannah and her young son is like a knife to the heart. Trouble is, he's better at ignoring his own pain than someone else's, and bright, cheerful Hannah has a heart as haunted as his own. She deserves to be happy—but could she really be with him?

And last, but certainly not least, popular author B.J. Daniels brings back her beloved "Cardwell Ranch" stories with this fast-paced tale of intrigue and lust.  Be sure to have plenty of something cool to drink as you read this hot romance!

Saving her once was risky. Rescuing her again may be fatal.

When Hayes Cardwell arrived in Big Sky, Montana, for his brother's wedding, the Texas P.I. didn't expect to play hero. But ever since he saved her from a brutal abductor, he can't get McKenzie Sheldon out of his mind and heart. As passion blindsides him, Hayes vows to protect the beautiful business owner from once again becoming the target of a killer intent on finishing the job.
McKenzie was drawn to Hayes from the moment she awoke and saw the tall, dark cowboy who'd rushed to her rescue like some Western fantasy. With his lean, sexy looks and fierce protective instincts, the gun-shy bachelor is already lassoing her heart. But can he protect her from a danger that's much closer than they think… a killer hiding in plain sight who's about to spring a final trap?

I've got these books in my bag to take on vacation with me next week - grab a few yourself and enjoy a little hot romance this summer!

My thanks to Harlequin and author Elizabeth Lane for providing the review copies of these books.  I was not compensated for my opinion.

YAY! Another release from Elizabeth Lane! I love her stories. I can't wait to read this one. She definitely knows to how to blend romance with a gripping plot. I'm sure her travels to Africa helped to enrich her story. She's one of those authors whose books always go on my keeper shelf. I only wish she hadn't stepped away from historicals since that's what I really love. But she hasn't lost anything in writing her contemporaries. Wishing her tons of success.
