The Marriage Charm: The Brides of Bliss County by Linda Lael Miller - Book Review

About The Book:

The women of Bliss County have a pact—to find husbands. The right husbands.
One already has: Hadleigh Stevens, who married rancher Tripp Galloway a few months ago.

Now Melody Nolan thinks it's her turn. Melody has recently found success as a jewelry designer, and her work is the focus of her life. She's not exactly unhappy, but she wants more. She's always been attracted to Spence Hogan, the local chief of police, but she's convinced that Spence, a notorious charmer, isn't what you'd call husband material.

Spence is a good cop who isn't scared of anything—except love. And he's done everything he can to preserve his reputation as a womanizer—a reputation that keeps marriage-minded women, including Melody, at bay. And yet…there's something about Melody he can't forget. Something his heart can't ignore.

My Thoughts:

The second book in The Brides of Bliss County series, "The Marriage Charm" is a wonderful continuation of the stories of three best friends and their search for lasting love.

This time around it's Melody Nolan's turn to find happiness and it looks like Chief of Police Spence Hogan just might be the one to help her find it - that is, if they can stop arguing long enough to let Cupid find his target! With a little help from their mutual friends, plus what seems like the entire town of Mustang Creek, Melody and Spence may have a chance at lasting love.

Linda Lael Miller's books are always a lot of fun to read, and I love her western settings and her fast-paced writing style.  Fans will rejoice with this new release, and first time readers will also enjoy the charming cast of characters as well as a lovely romance just in time for Valentine's Day!

I've been a huge Linda Lael Miller fan for 25 years and eagerly await each new story. I confess that I do love her historicals best though. No one writes the American frontier like she does. I just wish that she'd put a few more out. In my opinion, she's Queen of Romance, no matter what genre though. Love, Love her! I'll definitely read this one.
