Guest Post - Author Jodi Thomas

I'm thrilled to host one of my favorite authors, Jodi Thomas!  Her new book in the "Harmony, Texas" series, One True Heart, comes out on April 7th.

Jodi took some time out of her busy schedule to tell us a little bit about this new installment!

ONE TRUE HEART is a book I’ve been waiting to write for several years.  Sometimes characters sat around the kitchen in my mind waiting for their story to be pulled off the back burner and come to life.  For those of you who have followed me through Harmony you’re going to see one of my favorite couples Beau and Trouble.  And of those who are new, you’ll meet new characters that I think you’ll fall in love with.

I think I’ve wanted to write this story since I wrote TWISTED CREEK.  After all, someone had to move into Luke’s cabin after he moved out and what better than a broken hero.

As books often do, this story didn’t come to me as a thread; it came to me as a ball of multi-color yarn.  All of us live lives that are intertwined with those we love or fear or even hate.  All of us are looking for one true heart.  Some of us settle for less or even give up on finding what we’re looking for, but the people we meet and love all add a depth to us.  In ONE TRUE HEART I wanted to show that sometimes loving can win out.

I have three heroes in my story.  Drew has risked his life once and almost lost it, shattering his dreams.  Johnny thinks his dreams are small and is shattered and angry that even his simple dreams can’t come true.  Beau, on the other hand, has always dreamed big, but somewhere in climbing the ladder to success he’s lost sight of love.

As the story opens, all three are about to find a kind of love they never dreamed could happen.  The only hard part is going to be hanging onto it.

To all my friends and fans, make a cup of tea, or a glass of wine, curl up in your favorite chair and open ONE TRUE HEART.  I promise I’ll leave you smiling as you read.

Read on,

Jodi Thomas

I loved this book! It has just about everything you'd want--a wounded soldier coming home after giving her best to the military, a rock star western singer who made it big, a man who's simple life gets turned upside down. And then a hero professor haunted by a horrific event.

Some of Jodi's books are very LARGE and this is one of them. It touches your heart from the opening paragraph to the last. I will never forget these characters because they're ingrained deep inside me.

If you've never read one of her books, take a chance on this one. If you've read all of her Harmony series, you'll find she's saved the best for last.
