It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Winter has finally arrived in Texas!!  We had just about every kind of weather possible - rain, tornadoes, snow, even an earthquake - and now we are looking at a week of frigid temperatures!  Brrr!!

I know I said that I was going to come back on December 31st, but since I've no place to go ... Luckily, I've got a pile of great books - some new, some older ones I wanted to catch up on!  So I plan to snuggle up and read, read, read!

Here's what I've got lined up!

My sweet friend, Sheila at BookJourney (www.bookjourney.net) is once again holding her fun meme, First Book of The Year, for 2016.  Bloggers from all over the blogsphere are sharing the book they will be reading as they usher in the New Year!  (For more info or to participate, check out Sheila's post at http://bookjourney.net/2015/12/03/first-book-of-the-year-2016/)

For my first book, I thought what could be more appropriate than ...

Do you have anything special planned to read this New Year?

I hope you are staying warm and cozy wherever you are, and as always,

"It's Monday! What Are You Reading?" is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organize yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Go check out what other bloggers are reading!  http://bookdate.blogspot.com/

What extreme weather for Texas. I was just listening to our news and it said Missouri is experiencing floods. Weather is capricious.
Good to hunker in and read. Looking forward to the first book with Sheila but keeping mine a secret until the 1st!!

I used to live in Laredo where it was always hot, so the rest of Texas had some crazy weather but not as bad as this year!! Interesting books, I have Winter on my TBR!!

I'm in Wisconsin along Lake Michigan - we had 9 inches of snow yesterday plus icy rain and wind. But that's how it goes up here. I hope your area calms down. Meanwhile, enjoy your reading. Claire Cook's new book has me curious!

Yep! Looks like the late Mr Winter finally showed up, here too in Montreal Canada.

I just bought Winter for my daughter. She's read all the books in the series. I'd like to start on them too so we can discuss them.

Enjoy your new books!
