First Book Of The Year 2016!

My sweet book friend, Sheila, at BookJourney, is once again sponsoring her "First Book of The Year" meme, and I am so happy to be participating once again!

For my first book of 2016, I chose an appropriately named book, I think ...

I have loved Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles series and am a little sad that it is ending with "Winter."  I began reading last night and will probably finish up tonight, so watch for a review soon!

Here is a little more about the book:

Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mar her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.  Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won't approve of her feelings for her childhood friend--the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn't as weak as Levana believes her to be and she's been undermining her stepmother's wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that's been raging for far too long.
Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters? Fans will not want to miss this thrilling conclusion to Marissa Meyer's national bestselling Lunar Chronicles series.

Check out Marissa Meyer's website, www.marissameyer.com, for more information on her books and projects.

Oh my goodness! Sure I posted a picture of the cover, but do you think I could add any other info about the book? *sheesh* Well, at least I posted a link to GoodReads. :O)

I'm so happy to see many of my bloggy-bookish friends participating in this link-up!

Am loving this book, so taking my time to savor it because it is the final book of this series! While I'm sad to see it over, can't wait for Marissa's new series to start soon - based on Alice In Wonderland! Should be great!!
